2025 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Media Technology and Interaction Design (ICADI 2025) was successfully held.

From November 29th to 30th, 2025 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Media Technology and Interaction Design (ICADI 2025), organized by the School of Art of Tianjin Vocational and Technical Normal University and co-organized by Tianjin Sino-German Applied Technology University and AEIC Academic Exchange Center, was successfully held on the campus. Vice President and President of the School, Zheng Qingchun, attended the conference and delivered a speech. More than 120 experts, scholars, young researchers and industry representatives from over 50 universities around the world, including Idris University of Education in Sudan, Hanbridge College in Singapore, Peking University and Tianjin University of Technology, gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on the cutting-edge topics in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital media. The Party Secretary and Head of the School of Art, Han Dexin, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference.

In his speech, Zheng Qingchun warmly congratulated the successful hosting of the conference and extended a sincere welcome to all the participants from both China and abroad. He pointed out that under the guidance of the country's "Artificial Intelligence +" strategy, the university has actively responded to the demands of the construction of Tianjin's "Highland of Intelligent Technology Industry", and has taken artificial intelligence and digital media technology as the main directions for its discipline development, establishing a full-chain practical system of "industry-level tools + scenario-based cases + engineering training". The university has actively promoted the transformation of "Artificial Intelligence + Education", promoting the deep integration of multiple disciplines such as engineering, education, and literature around digital upgrades, and forming distinctive advantages in areas such as intelligent networking and smart education. He emphasized that the university will continue to build academic exchange bridges, deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, and industry-academia integration, and promote the transformation of technological achievements into teaching practice and into industrial applications.

This conference is centered on the themes of "cutting-edge leadership, cross-border integration, and industry-academia collaboration". It is an important academic celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Art College of Tianjin Vocational and Technical College. It is also a key practical step for the school to deepen international cooperation and serve the development of the industry. A total of over 110 papers were submitted to the conference. After rigorous review, the outstanding achievements will be published by ACM and submitted to international databases such as EI Compendex and Scopus for indexing, thus establishing a high-quality platform for academic exchanges and industrial cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and digital media worldwide.

The meeting agenda is compact and rich, featuring four keynote speeches, four thematic forums, a youth scholars forum, and poster presentations, among other distinctive segments, covering the cutting-edge topics and practical applications in artificial intelligence, digital media technology, and interaction design.
Prof. Andrea L. Baldini, the Yangtze River Scholar Chair Professor of the School of Art at Peking University, Clarissa Wang, the Deputy Academic Vice-Dean of the Singapore Hanbridge Institute, Professor Li Tie, a member of the National Committee for Animation and Digital Media Education, the Director of the Animation Department at Tianjin University of Technology, and a doctoral supervisor, and Professor Li Huiyi from Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, delivered keynote speeches titled "Street Art and Disruptive Technologies: Drones and Creative Resistance", "Towards Education in the Future: Common Propositions of Singapore and Hanbridge Institute", "The Essence of Art Education in the AI Era", and "Exploring the Path of Digital Media Talent Cultivation in the AI Era", respectively.
The four thematic forums precisely focused on the industry pain points and educational demands, presenting high-level ideological exchanges: The dean forum brought together the heads of colleges from universities such as Tianjin Normal University and Tianjin University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, discussing the paths of discipline construction and interdisciplinary integration; The vocational education forum invited leaders from institutions like Tianjin Electronic Information Vocational College and Tianjin Mechanical and Electrical Vocational College, jointly discussing strategies for the digital transformation of vocational education; The principal forum attracted leaders from vocational secondary schools in Fujian and Shandong regions, focusing on the innovation of vocational education training models; The young scholars forum provided a platform for 10 young researchers from universities such as Jimei Industrial Vocational College, North China University of Science and Technology, and Xinjiang University to showcase their latest research results. They shared their latest achievements on topics such as digital empowerment of cultural dissemination, AI and educational model innovation, and application of image segmentation technology, expanding the coverage of communication through a combination of online and offline methods.

At the meeting, Professor Shao Heng, the dean of the School of Arts, and Professor Li Huiyi from Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College presented certificates to outstanding young scholars.
The successful holding of this conference has established an international platform for collaborative innovation involving "government, industry, academia, research and application". The academic achievements and consensus formed during the conference will inject new impetus into technological progress, talent cultivation and industrial upgrading in related fields. In the future, the university will continue to focus on discipline construction as the core, deepen international academic cooperation and industry-academia integration, and promote collaborative innovation in art education, digital media and AI technology, contributing to the high-quality development of the industry and the construction of an education power.
